Papait, also known as Slender Carpetweed or Glinus oppositifolius, is a nutritious wild, bitter-tasting edible plant popular in Ilocano cuisine. It is a small, nutrient-rich weed with small, dark green, oval-shaped leaves, commonly used in salads, sautéed dishes, or with bagoong. The leaves are noted for being more intensely bitter than ampalaya.
