Horsmakreel is very easy to prepare and very versatile:
1. Fried (Pritong Galunggong)
Clean the fish, season with salt, and fry until golden brown and crispy.
2. Paksiw (Vinegar Stew)
Simmer fish in vinegar, garlic, ginger, peppercorns, and eggplant.
3. Ginisang Galunggong
Fry fish first, then sauté in tomato, onion, and garlic sauce.
4. Sinigang na Galunggong
Cook in tamarind broth with vegetables like kangkong and radish.
Simple Recipe: Pritong Galunggong
Ingredients:
• 4–6 pcs horsmakreel (galunggong)
• Salt to taste
• Cooking oil
Instructions:

Clean and wash the fish, remove gills and guts.

Rub with salt and let sit for 10 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan.

Fry fish until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
